Shri V Ramesh Babu, Director (Operations) visited solar projects of NGEL at Bikaner, Rajasthan on 05th March, 2023 along with Shri Mohit Bhargava, CEO (NGEL) and Shri Praveen Saxena, RED(N) and senior officials of RE-AM and RE-Engineering/Contracts & RE-Project Management.

The 400 MW Shimbhu ki Burj (SKB) project has been commissioned out of 550 MW while the 200 MW Nokhra project has been commissioned out of 300 MW. During the visit he reviewed the performance and inaugurated the CMCS building of Nokhra Solar Project.

Director (Operations) while appreciating the efforts of the entire RE team, urged the early completion of the balance capacity of 250 MW from these two projects and suggested faster adoption of uniform O&M practices across all RE stations to optimize technical and commercial performance. Further, he encouraged RE group to uphold the brand image of NTPC in project management as well as Asset management practices and establish industry benchmarks.
